THE CALLING

The Vision

God reveals Himself to men through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus is known as the Rabbi — the Teacher sent from God, who teaches the will of God so that men can know God. He reveals to men the mysteries of the Kingdom of God.

Jesus is unlike the other Jewish teachers — He spoke as ‘one having authority’ (Mt 7.29). He is the Truth (Jn 14.6) and the Light (Jn 8.12). He is the Living Word of God in human flesh. He teaches men by his words, his actions, and his presence. His disciples, inspired by God’s Holy Spirit, are sent to bring the good news of the Kingdom of God to the world, teaching all nations what Jesus has commanded (Mt 28.19).

“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” (Lk 4:18-19).

The Vocation

And it is from the Tabernacle of the Holy Sacrament, that I, Ian Immanuel, am called to participate in this Prophetic, Priestly and Kingly mission of bringing the good news of the Kingdom of God to every person that I encounter and engage with, using my own personal proclivities, which is known as the gifts given by God.

I, Ian Immanuel, give myself to God as the host, using my life as the altar, and by the grace and mercy of God, through Him, in Him and with Him, may I be transformed into the Eucharist—the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ—which brings life, light, love and liberty—the healing and the salvation—to all mankind.

It is my beloved God who initiates the calling, and I am His beloved child who respond and answer to His call. I will continue to be patient, to persist, to persevere, to pray, and embrace the words of Mother Teresa of Calcutta that “not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” In order to achieve my goal, I will:

  • pray unceasingly to God and be in full communion with Him;
  • work on my own salvation and personal well-being by being genuine and authentic to God, myself, others and creation, in order to be a role model and wounded healer who channels God’s healing and mercy to my clients;

  • facilitate self-reflection in order for my clients to internalize true and authentic positive core values needed for my clients to live a healthy, functional and meaningful life.

I will know that I have accomplished my mission when my clients:

  • practice healthy and meaningful life holistically by being authentic and genuine;
  • consistently treat and support themselves, others and creation with genuine kindness and compassion
  • demonstrating and positively influencing others with life, light, love and liberty, establishing healthy relationships and boundaries;
  • • able to be critical, creative and reflective in facing and solving problems in life;
  • smile, look, greet, hug, respond to and communicate with me out of trust, feeling secure, comfortable, inspired and empowered;
  • others give positive feedbacks about my clients.

So help me God – Lord, have mercy.
